The Richard Ford Award
Established in 1976, the award provides figurative artists with the opportunity to travel to Spain to study the paintings in the Prado Museum, Madrid. Geraint was one of five artists to receive the Award in 2016 and spent October and November making transcriptions at the Prado as well as working in the city in a sketchbook. On his return he was awarded joint first place by the board of trustees. Below is a selection of the artwork produced during this period.
